Reducing construction time and labor costs this faster alternative to welding or through-bolting was a great solution. All products in this range are quickly installed by inserting the fastener into a pre-drilled hole and tightening with standard hand tools, they are easy to install without specialist skills, equipment or on-site power. They are ideal to use with any steel structures and eliminate the requirement for using unsightly welding or strapping.

They found usage on different steel hollow shape sections. Safe working loads are based on the use of hollow structural section S275 and are applicable to Hollo-Bolts in tension and shear only. Hollo bolt solutions are safe and secure steel connections. When installed correctly, Hollo-Bolt has a safety factor of 5:1, for hollow sections, both square, rectangular and circular, A number of main types of architectural finishes are CE-marked, DIBt, TÜV and ICC-ES seismic approved.

Head Variations

Hexagonal, Countersunk, Flush-Fit. They allow for speedy installation with standard tools. Available in a variety of lengths, materials and sizes.

Hollo-Bolt Hexagonal Head is an expansion bolt that only requires access from one side of the Structural Hollow Section (SHS).

Hollo-Bolt expansion bolts require access to only one side of the Structural Hollow Section (SHS), and offer a faster alternative to welding or through-bolting, enabling contractors to reduce construction time and labour costs. Installation is quickly carried out by inserting into pre-drilled steelwork and tightening with a torque wrench. Also suitable for blind connections where access is available from one side only.

The larger M16 and M20 Hollo-Bolts are optimised for high strength structural connections and feature a unique High Clamping Force (HCF) mechanism for superior performance.

Hollo-Bolt expansion bolts require access to only one side of the Structural Hollow Section (SHS), and offer a faster alternative to welding or through-bolting, enabling contractors to reduce construction time and labour costs.

Installation is quickly carried out by inserting into pre-drilled steelwork and tightening with a torque wrench. Also suitable for blind connections where access is available from one side only. The 'Countersunk Head' version also ensures that the fixing protrusion from the steelwork is kept to a minimum whilst still using a plain drilled hole in the supporting section and the outer plate/bracket.

Hollo-Bolt Flush Fit Head is an expansion bolt that only requires access from one side of the Structural Hollow Section (SHS).

The 'Flush Fit Head' version also ensures zero visible protrusion creating an opportunity for architectural design as the head is completely flush with the steelwork and discreet.

Supplied with an innovative installation nut allowing the Flush Fit to be installed without the requirement of specialist skills or equipment.

The fixing is available in sizes M8, M10 and M12.

LB2– Lindibolt 2

Self-heading bolt suitable for connecting steelwork to hollow sections where access is only available from one side.

The Type LB2 Lindibolt is the original threaded stud expansion bolt which has been designed specifically to be used on refurbishment projects. This unique product will fit into standard pre-drilled steelwork, in typical clearance hole diameters of M10, M12, M16, M20 and M24.

The self-heading expansion bolt requires access to only one side of hollow section, and offers a faster alternative to welding or through-bolting, enabling contractors to reduce construction time and labour costs. It’s an incredibly flexible solution as it can be adjusted during installation to fit various thicknesses of steelwork, for example the M24 has a clamping range of 18–72mm.

Also suitable for blind connections where access is available from one side only. Manufactured in mild steel with a zinc plated finish or in stainless steel grade 316.
